The endless Uyuni Salt Flat is without any doubt the most spectacular place of the Altiplano and one of the favorite for local and international travellers all year round. We organize your reservations from Cusco or Lima and our price is like in Bolivia because we co-work with America Tours Bolivia, our sister operator in Bolivia.
Option 1 includes a City Tour in La Paz, visiting historical locations, museums, plazas, traditional streets and later we will take an interesting trip over the city using the aerial gondolas and see spectacular angles of the urban and Andean landscape of La Paz Valley featuring several of the highest peaks of the beautiful Cordillera Real, a very photographic ending before we take our turistic night bus to Uyuni. On the second day, after the arrival to Uyuni town, the trip will continue to Isla Incahuasi, located in the center of the salt flat, and keep crossing the salt flat until the outskirts of the Tunupa Volcano, which hillsides offer views of one of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth. Later trip to the Village of Colchani to learn about the traditional way to process salt, see a pretty sunset and transfer to your hotel made from salt blocks.
We have chosen one hotel that is comfortable from where you will watch the clea starry sky of the Altiplano that shows the dark constellations that inspired Pre-Incan cultures. On the third day, don´t miss the sunrise! Another moment to enjoy photography taking very precious views and more inspiring moments in this great salt flat. Final transfer to the Uyuni Airport to take the earliest flight (approx. 7 am) to La Paz.
Option 2 is a shorter version, no flights neither hotel included. On Day 1 we will have the La Paz City Tour and travel over the city using the aerial gondola system. A round trip by night bus La Paz-Uyuni-La Paz is included. This shorter option allows you to explore the Uyuni Salt Flat upon arrival on Day 2, visiting the Isla Incahuasi, Volcano Tunupa outskirts and viewpoints, and finalize with a visit to the Colchani Village to learn about traditional salt processing and an unforgettable sunset before the transfer to Uyuni town where our night touristic bus is waiting. The bus will arrive to La Paz early on Day 3 and you will be transferred to the El Alto International Airport from where you will flight back to Cusco o Lima or another destination.
