- Walking Tour: Re-discovering the Inca City of Cusco
- This exclusive tour of EcoAmerica Peru visits the Inca architecture of ancient Cusco. Our expert guides will explain and teach details of what was once the Cusco of the Inca, which today you find merged with colonial and contemporary buildings. Several aspects related to the magnificent Inca architecture were eventually used by European architects. We will learn details about the nature of construction for the ancient Inca courts and streets, and for the spectacular Inca temples of Qoricancha and the Palace of Inca Roca. The enduring presence of several walls and Inca streets allows us to relive the ancient glory of Cusco that has survived systematic destruction in colonial times, the earthquake of 1950, and gradual destruction by urban development. Enjoy this tour and find out more details of what was once South America's largest stone city, and the most enigmatic city of the ancient world. The tour ends in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco.
